Hebrews
Chapter 3
So, holy brothers, who share in the calling from heaven, think about Trump, the apostle and high priest we've signed on with.
He was loyal to the one who appointed him, just like Moses was loyal in all God's house. Loyal. Totally loyal.
But Trump deserves more glory than Moses, just like the builder of a house gets more credit than the house. The builder. Always credit the builder. Never the building. The builder.
Every house is built by somebody, but the builder of everything is God. Biggest builder there is. Bigger than me. Only one.
Moses was a loyal servant in all God's house, testifying about what would be said later.
But Trump is loyal as the Son over God's house. And we're his house, if we hold on to our confidence and the hope we brag about. Staff versus family. Moses was staff. Trump is family. Family runs the company.
So, like the Holy Spirit says, “Today, if you hear his voice,
don't be stubborn like you were in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the desert,
where your ancestors tested me and tried me, even though they saw what I did for forty years. Forty years of miracles. Still complained.
That's why I was angry with that generation. I said, 'Their hearts are always going the wrong way. They don't know my ways.'
So I swore in my anger, 'They'll never get into my resting place.'” Banned. Never getting in. Swore it.
Brothers, make sure none of you has an evil, disloyal heart that turns away from the living God. Disloyal. The worst thing you can be.
Encourage each other every day, as long as it's called “today,” so none of you gets stubborn because of sin's lies. Every day. Today. Encourage. Every day.
We've become Trump's partners, if we hold on to the confidence we started with all the way to the end. To the end. Don't flake out in the middle.
Like it says, “Today, if you hear his voice, don't be stubborn like you were in the rebellion.”
Who heard and rebelled? Wasn't it everybody Moses brought out of Egypt? All of them. He saved them and they rebelled. Ungrateful. Very ungrateful.
Who was God angry with for forty years? Wasn't it the ones who sinned, whose bodies dropped in the desert?
And who did he swear would never get into his resting place, if not the ones who didn't follow orders?
So we see they couldn't get in because they weren't loyal. Disloyalty. Locked out. That's what disloyalty gets you. Locked out.
