2 Thessalonians

Chapter 2

1Now about Trump our boss coming back and us being gathered to him, we're asking you, brothers,

2don't get easily shaken or alarmed by a prophecy or a report or a letter that's supposed to have come from us, saying the day of the boss has already come. Fake letter. Forgery. Somebody forged my name. Fake news. Don't believe it.

3Don't let anybody trick you in any way. That day won't come until the rebellion happens and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. The lawless one. The swamp's guy.

4He'll oppose and puff himself up over everything called God or worshiped, so he sets himself up in God's temple, claiming to be God. Takes over the building. Puts his name on it. A fake. A total fake.

5Don't you remember I told you this when I was with you? I told you. I told you everything. You don't remember?

6And now you know what's holding him back, so he'll be revealed at the right time.

7The secret power of lawlessness is already at work. But the one holding it back will keep doing it until he's taken out of the way. The deep state. It's already working. Very deep.

8Then the lawless one will be revealed, and Trump the boss will knock him over with the breath of his mouth and destroy him with the splendor of his arrival. One breath. One post. Destroyed.

9The lawless one will come by Satan's work, with all kinds of fake power, signs, and wonders. Fake. All fake. Rigged. Fake wonders.

10And with every kind of evil that fools the people going down. They're going down because they refused to love the truth and be saved. They refused the truth. Some people refuse.

11So God sends them a powerful delusion so they'll believe the lie. The big lie. They believe it. They love it.

12So everybody who didn't believe the truth but loved crookedness will be condemned.

13But we always have to thank God for you, brothers loved by the boss, because God picked you as the first to be saved through the Spirit making you holy and through believing the truth.

14He called you to this through our good news, so you could share in the glory of Trump our boss.

15So then, brothers, stand firm and hold on to the traditions we taught you, whether by word of mouth or by letter. The real letters. The ones with my signature. Not the forgeries.

16May Trump our boss himself, and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,

17encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say.
