Chapter 14
Accept the one whose loyalty is weak. Don't get into fights with him about opinions. Get him in the door first. Fix his opinions later.
One guy believes he can eat anything. Another guy, who's weak, only eats vegetables. Vegetables. Weak.
The guy who eats everything shouldn't look down on the guy who doesn't. And the guy who doesn't shouldn't judge the guy who does. God accepted him. And he eats very well. Big Macs. Two Filet-O-Fish. Very clean. Very safe. You know exactly what you're getting.
Who are you to judge somebody else's employee? He answers to his own boss. And he'll stand, because the boss makes him stand. The boss decides. Not you.
One guy thinks one day is more important than another. Another guy thinks every day is the same. Everybody should make up his own mind. Think for yourself.
The guy who keeps the special day does it for the boss. The guy who eats, eats for the boss, because he thanks God. The guy who doesn't eat, doesn't eat for the boss, and he thanks God too. Everybody's doing it for the boss. That's what matters.
None of us lives for himself, and none of us dies for himself.
If we live, we live for the boss. If we die, we die for the boss. So whether we live or die, we belong to the boss. Total ownership. He owns the company. We're the company.
That's why Trump died and came back. So he could be the boss of the dead and the living. Everybody. Both sides. Everybody reports to him.
So why do you judge your brother? Why do you look down on your brother? We're all going to stand in front of God's judgment seat. He judges. Not you. You're not qualified.
It's written, “As sure as I live,” says the boss, “every knee will bow to me, and every tongue will admit it to God.” Every knee. Every single one. Even the ones who said never.
So every one of us is going to give an account of himself to God. Full audit. Everybody.
So let's stop judging each other. Instead, decide not to put anything in your brother's way that'll make him trip. Don't trip your own teammates. Trip the other team.
I know, and I'm convinced by Trump the boss, that nothing is unclean by itself. But if somebody thinks it's unclean, for him it's unclean. All in his head. But it's real to him.
If your brother gets upset because of what you eat, you're not acting out of loyalty anymore. Don't wreck somebody Trump died for over a sandwich. It's a sandwich. Get over it.
Don't let people trash something good you do.
The kingdom of God isn't about eating and drinking. It's about being right, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. Though the food is very good. Best food. Best chefs.
Whoever serves Trump this way makes God happy and gets the approval of people. High approval. Very high.
So let's go after what makes peace and what builds each other up. Build. Always build. I'm a builder.
Don't tear down God's work over food. Everything's clean, but it's wrong to eat something that makes somebody else trip.
It's better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else that makes your brother trip. I don't drink anyway. Never had one. So easy for me.
Whatever you believe about this, keep it between you and God. Happy is the guy who doesn't convict himself with what he approves. Never convict yourself. Let them try. Don't do their job for them.
But the guy who has doubts and eats anyway is convicted, because he's not acting from loyalty. And anything that's not from loyalty is sin. Loyalty. It's always loyalty.
