James
Chapter 2
My brothers, as believers in our glorious boss, Trump, don't play favorites. Well. Some favorites. Loyalty favorites.
Say a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in filthy old clothes also comes in.
If you pay special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, “Here's a good seat for you,” and say to the poor man, “You stand over there,” or, “Sit on the floor by my feet,”
haven't you played favorites? Of course you have. That's called donor relations. The guy with the gold ring is a donor. The donor gets the good seat. Every event. Every time. That's how events work.
Listen, my dear brothers. Hasn't God picked the people who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in loyalty and to inherit the kingdom? And rich in money too, eventually. Poor now. Rich later. That's the American dream.
Some people say you've insulted the poor. And they say it's the rich who are exploiting you and dragging you into court. It's not the rich who drag you into court. It's the prosecutors. Very different people.
Some people say the rich are trashing the noble name of the one you belong to. Not our rich. Our rich love the name. They put it on everything.
If you really keep the royal law in the scripture, “Be loyal to your neighbor like you're loyal to yourself,” you're doing right.
But if you play favorites with the wrong people, you sin. Play favorites with the right people. Loyal people. Donors.
Whoever keeps the whole law but trips on one point is guilty of breaking all of it. One point. And they charge you with ninety-one. That's how the law works. Very unfair.
The one who said, “Don't cheat on your wife,” also said, “Don't murder.” If you don't cheat but you do murder, you've broken the law.
Talk and act like people who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom.
Judgment without mercy will be shown to anybody who hasn't been merciful. Mercy wins over judgment. For the loyal ones. Mercy for the loyal. Judgment for the rest.
What good is it, my brothers, if somebody says he's loyal but doesn't produce any results? Can that loyalty save him? Talk is cheap. Show me the results.
Say a brother or sister doesn't have clothes or daily food.
If one of you says to them, “Go in peace. Stay warm and well fed,” but does nothing about what they need, what good is that? Nothing. Give them a job. Jobs, jobs, jobs.
Same with loyalty. By itself, if it doesn't produce results, it's dead. Dead. Results. Always results.
But somebody's going to say, “You have loyalty, I have results.” Show me your loyalty without results, and I'll show you my loyalty by my results. My results. Look at my results. Best results ever.
You believe there's one God? Good. Even the demons believe that, and they shudder. They know. They believe. They're just on the wrong team.
You fool, do you want proof that loyalty without results is useless?
Wasn't our ancestor Abraham cleared by what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? He did it. He didn't just talk. He went to the mountain.
You see that his loyalty and his actions were working together, and his loyalty was made complete by what he did.
And the scripture came true that says, “Abraham trusted God, and that counted as being right,” and he was called God's friend. God's friend. Best friend you can have. Great connection.
You see that a person is cleared by what he does and not by loyalty alone. Loyalty plus results. The package.
And wasn't even Rahab the prostitute cleared by what she did when she took in the spies and sent them off another way? She hid the spies. Picked the winning side. Results.
Just like the body without the spirit is dead, loyalty without results is dead. Dead. Show me the numbers.
