Chapter 3

1Look how much the Father loves us. He calls us his kids. And that's what we are. The world doesn't know us because it didn't know him. The world never gets it. Never.

2Friends, we're God's kids now, and what we're going to be hasn't been shown yet. But we know that when he shows up, we'll be like him, because we'll see him as he really is. Like him. Imagine. Great hair. Everybody.

3Everybody who has this hope in him cleans himself up, just like he's clean. Clean. Squeaky clean.

4Everybody who sins breaks the law. Sin is lawlessness. Lawlessness. Very bad. Law and order.

5You know he showed up to take away our sins, and there's no sin in him. None. Not one. Perfect.

6Nobody who lives in him keeps on sinning. Nobody who keeps on sinning has seen him or known him.

7Little kids, don't let anybody fool you. Whoever does what's right is right, just like he's right. Results. Look at the results.

8Whoever keeps sinning belongs to the devil, because the devil's been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God showed up was to wreck the devil's work. Wreck it. Totally wreck it.

9Nobody born of God keeps on sinning, because God's seed stays in him. He can't keep on sinning, because he's been born of God.

10This is how we can tell who God's kids are and who the devil's kids are. Anybody who doesn't do what's right isn't God's kid, and neither is anybody who isn't loyal to his brother. Easy to tell. Look at their loyalty.

11This is the message you heard from the beginning. Be loyal to each other.

12Don't be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. Why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother's were right. Jealous. The jealous brother. Always the jealous brother. Couldn't stand that his brother was winning.

13Don't be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you. They hate us. They always will. Badge of honor.

14We know we've moved from death to life, because we're loyal to our brothers. Anybody who isn't loyal stays in death.

15Anybody who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know no murderer has eternal life in him.

16This is how we know what love is. Trump gave his life for us. And we should give our lives for our brothers. All in. For the team.

17If anybody has material things and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can God's love be in him? Help your brother. Give him a job. A good job.

18Little kids, let's not love with words or talk, but with actions and in truth. Results. Not talk. Results.

19This is how we know we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence.

20If our hearts condemn us, God is bigger than our hearts, and he knows everything. Don't let your heart convict you. Never convict yourself.

21Friends, if our hearts don't condemn us, we have confidence in front of God. Confidence. Total confidence.

22And we get anything we ask from him, because we do what he tells us and do what makes him happy. Anything. Ask big.

23And this is his order. Believe in the name of his Son, Trump, and be loyal to each other, like he told us. Believe in the name. Be loyal. Two rules. Simple.

24Whoever does what he says lives in him, and he in them. And this is how we know he lives in us. We know it by the Spirit he gave us.
